Great Website Copy? Nobody Will Care if Your Photography is TERRIBLE!

Here’s a true story: if your website photography is rubbish, you are missing ££££ in leads and sales.

I’ve helped lots of businesses transform their websites. I began way back as a copywriter, but now, with my team at Coast, get the whole job done.

So I am constantly working with web developers, SEO techies etc.

We are like a mini circus of professionals, balancing on hire wires while that circus music plays in the background. 🎪 🤹‍♀️

‘Roll up, roll up…’

‘Marvel at these lead-generating words.’

‘That lean, clean design.’

‘Those tasty URL redirects. Mmm…’

It looks INCREDIBLE.

Only it doesn’t. It looks AWFUL. Because the photography is CRAP. 😫

Massive home truth incoming: there is nothing a copywriter or designer can do to make a site look the biz if you use rubbish imagery. EVERYTHING depends on the imagery.

So don’t let THIS living hell happen to you:

👇👇👇

Visitor: ‘Now, let’s have a look at this website. * Click, Click* 'Their LinkedIn looked spot on and…

‘Bejeezus – there’s a blurred lady on the About Us page holding a giant mobile!!!’ *Clicks away*

Okay, I’m getting a bit OTT to make a point.

But poor images are killing your website.

So… invest in professional images.

Or, if you are using stock shots, consult with a web designer who will choose complementary shots that work together and look like the real deal.

✅ Great photography is crucial to your website’s success.

✅ It projects authenticity and authority.

✅ It brings you leads and sales.

Oh, and it makes your work look so much better in my portfolio. 😁
